Katie RichExecutive DirectorKatie brings over two decades of professional and volunteer experience in the Jewish community. Most recently, she served as the Senior Director of Advancement at Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School, where she led fundraising, recruitment, marketing/communications and community engagement efforts. Prior to that, Katie was the Early Childhood Director at JCC Chicago, where she worked closely with families and young children on a daily basis. She holds a Master’s degree in Jewish Professional Studies from Spertus Institute, a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and participates in professional development on a regular basis. In her spare time, Katie loves hanging out with her family, walking miles around Chicago neighborhoods and reading historical fiction.

Lex DorfmanOperations and Community OrganizerLex was raised in a Jewish-Mexican household that taught her what a Jewish community should feel like, grounded in values of community, love, and generosity. These values have inspired Lex to contribute to the wellbeing of various communities including Augsburg University, Brown RISD Hillel, Maayanot Community Mikveh of Minnesota, and have led her to become a certified Mikveh Guide and Morning Altar Teacher and Trainer. Lex is looking forward to building meaningful relationships and is excited to help build a more vibrant Jewish community at SketchPad!
